This week, join us for a concert with the Marvin "Smitty" Smith Septet.
Marvin “Smitty” Smith has recorded over 250 albums with various artists, as well as two solo albums. He has toured with such diverse musicians as Terence Blanchard, Sting, Sonny Rollins, Steve Coleman and Donald Byrd. He is a former member of the NY Jazz Quartet and was the drummer for the Tonight Show Band led by Kevin Eubank from 1995–2009.
The 17-piece big band edition of the PJO(Pacific Jazz Orchestra) will perform contemporary arrangements of jazz standards and original compositions by Chris Walden.
